Brandi Lust is the founder of Learning Lab Consulting and the author of Myths of Being Human: Four Paths to Connect with What Matters. Through both her work and her writing, she helps organizations and individuals frame well-being as a community practice of creating safe spaces for speaking truth; when this happens, real change becomes possible.
Brandi believes that our common humanity enhances our communities and workplaces. When it is safe to bring our whole selves to everything we do, both the easy and the hard stuff, individuals are more fulfilled, and organizations are more effective.
She has a Bachelor’s degree in English from The Ohio State University and earned her M.A.Ed. from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. And when we have safe community spaces and share authentically, magic happens.
We find that it is the very things that we believed separated us that actually most connect us to one another; we find healing, and we find it together.
In these spaces, we begin to dissolve self-judgment and shame, yes. But that’s not even the real magic. When these icky feelings dissolve, we find they were hiding treasures: self-trust, inner-wisdom, and a new sense of personal freedom. We connect with the small, still voice inside us that knows.
When hard things happen to us, life can be a slog. And too often, it’s a lonely slog.
When we go through painful experiences, it can feel like we’re the only ones to have ever gone through these particular shitstorms— which keeps us silent about our pain and alone with our struggles.
It can be isolating. It can make us feel like we’re doing life wrong. Worst of all, it can lead to losing trust in ourselves.
But here’s the truth, regardless of what you are going through, you are not alone, and there is nothing wrong with you. You can trust yourself.

After graduating college with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Ginny went on to spend 13 years in the corporate world where she thought climbing the corporate ladder equated to success in life. Instead, that approach ultimately led her to a place of severe burnout, addiction, anxiety, and depression. Now she knows that for her, success in all aspects of life comes from living from a place of authenticity and integration where meaningful work and relationships are the fruit and contribution to the world.
For the past 8 years, Ginny has studied and practiced mindfulness and meditation, specifically in the realm of Buddhist Psychology.
At The One You Feed, she and Eric work together to create content focused on helping people learn and apply practical wisdom for a better life.
